On Monday, April 8th from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, join us in Turtle Creek Park as we witness the last total solar eclipse in Dallas (until 2317) in which we are in the path of totality. This will be the last eclipse in our lifetimes where Dallas will be in the path of darkness from the eclipse.
We’ll be commemorating this event with food trucks in Turtle Creek Park, music, eclipse glasses to view the eclipse (first come, first served – while supplies last). We will also have a Carnegie Science astronomer on hand to walk us through the event. The moon will begin to cover the sun beginning around 12:20 pm with “darkness” at 1:40 pm.
