August is Security Awareness Month

In Turtle Creek Park

August is Security Awareness Month at Turtle Creek Park, a time to highlight the partnerships, programs, and community efforts that help keep one of Dallas’ most treasured public spaces safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

Every day, thousands of people visit Turtle Creek Park to walk, exercise, gather with friends, attend events, and enjoy nature. Protecting this beloved public space is a shared responsibility, and throughout August, The Conservancy at Turtle Creek Park will be sharing ways you can help care for the park and support the people who work every day to keep it safe.

See Something? Report It.

One of the most important ways you can help is by submitting a 311 service request when you notice a maintenance or safety concern.

The City of Dallas 311 system ensures issues are routed directly to the appropriate department for action. Reports can include:

  • Damaged sidewalks or park infrastructure
  • Graffiti
  • Broken or malfunctioning lighting
  • Overflowing trash or illegal dumping
  • Downed tree limbs
  • Vandalism
  • Other maintenance concerns throughout Turtle Creek Park

Every report helps improve the park and allows city crews to respond more quickly.

A Community Partnership

The Conservancy at Turtle Creek Park works alongside the City of Dallas, Dallas Police Department, Dallas Fire-Rescue, Dallas Park and Recreation Department, and many community partners to help maintain a safe environment for all park visitors.

In addition to these partnerships, The Conservancy invests in security personnel, lighting improvements, cameras, park maintenance, and other enhancements that help preserve the beauty and safety of Turtle Creek Park.

How You Can Help

Your support makes a meaningful difference.
